- The WPC deck from Decolandia is a high-quality wood-polymer composite product. The wood comes from massive parquet factories, being both bamboo fibers and other essences (oak, beech, palin, etc.). They have a large grain, increasing the material’s resistance.
- The polymers used in the production of the Decolandia composite are of the HDPE type, which makes the material more environmentally friendly than other types of composite that contain, for example, PVC.
- This WPC deck has a higher density of material (HDPE), compared to other composite decks that may have a lower density of PE material
- Deck floors made of WPC composite material from Decolandia have an increased resistance to UV rays, keeping their color much better through prolonged exposure to the sun than other types of composite decks and definitely much better than wood.
- It is important to follow the assembly instructions in order to have a durable deck over time. The deck is thought of as a ventilated structure, and in this sense the joints between the boards have the role of drainage and ventilation, so that moisture and excessive heat do not stagnate under the boards. It is also important to leave sufficient expansion joints at the edges of the terraces and at the joints of the ends of the boards, since the tendency of expansion and contraction is greater with the composite deck. Likewise, each end of the board must stand on its own structure, and the distance between the structures must be a maximum of 40 cm center-to-center.
- The WPC floor in teak color was created especially for Decolandia to be as close as possible to this noble wood essence. Teak is one of the most desirable essences for the deck due to its unique properties. The color is warm, open, optimistic, with a very wide range of combinations. It is actually a shade of ocher, ocher being the color used in painting to give a warm and attractive look to the work. The maintenance of the WPC terrace is done very easily by washing it only using water, or water with terrace detergent.
